A Life Not Lived
Our Untold Stories
by C.M. Campbell
It has long been a question that has been all too often presented to my inner thoughts. When it is broadcast to everyone through the evening news or whispered about among the office personnel. It is a question that we will answer in this book
That moment in time when we are all aware of the horrors that exist and the waste of another human life that has occurred. The life of a heroic soldier given for his or her country, the innocent victim of a drunk driver, the wasting away of another soul to the effects of a long illness. That ripple in the everyday life of ours that is caused when we hear about them. The tidal wave of grief that washes over those that are the closest to them.
What happens to that moment in the lives of those that were closest to that loved one that seems to cease for everyone else? What have they lost and what was the possibilities, promises or dreams that were never able to be achieved or fulfilled? What have the closest lost, and what have we who are just outside of that circle of immediacy lost that we had no idea we would or could have been affected by?
I know that that question that continues to plague me is never going to be really answered. I know that whatever I can imagine would never really fill the gaps.
What kind of life would that person have lived if it hadn't happened? What would they have accomplished? Who would they have become friends with? What kind of family would they have had? What would their education, career or social achievements been? Who would they have influenced and what would they have given back to their families, friends, jobs, communities and their churches? How big of a ripple would they have made now and into the future? What branches on the family trees would have been filled?
Lots and lots of questions. Who can answer these questions? The answer is you. I am looking to get these answers from you. I need to get the stories from you.
If you have that answer or you want to make a statement, please proceed to the next page and learn how you can tell us the story of A Life Not Lived.
